A Farmers’ Market sells locally produced produce to local people. The benefits are numerous:

National Association of Farmers’ Markets has identified the following key criteria for a Farmers’ Market:

Only produce from a defined area shall be eligible
All produce must be locally grown, or reared by the stallholder
The stall must be attended by the principle producer or someone directly involved in production
Information should be readily available on production methods

Dates and Location:

The Egham market is held on the 4th Saturday of every month in the High St Egham.

Chairman of the Egham Chamber, Meher Oliaji, together with Mayor and Mayoress of Runnymede of the day, Independent Egham Councillor John Ashmore and Mrs Anne Ashmore on the first day of Egham market in May 2001 complete with purchases from the market (click for enlargement).
